The fact that they have something to do with lovers not being united is not something I ever picked up in Dark Souls. What I’m saying is that I suspect there will be some sort of connection between the fact that each game has two bells. The bell keepers are their eternal guardians.” While the Bell Gargoyles could be considered guardians, I feel like Quelaag sort of built her lair around the other Bell due to location, location, location. However, the description from Facebook says, “The twin bells symbolize the bond between two lovers who could never be united. As a Dark Souls fan, you can’t but think of the two bells of awakening you have to ring. Now for the other new announced covenant, the Bell Keepers. Not to mention, if all of Gywn’s deeds have been brought to light (I couldn’t resist) than I’d assume the sun wouldn’t have too many followers anymore. The whole ‘once worshiped amongst great warriors’ is most likely a reference to the Warriors of Sunlight and Solaire. With Gywn and his hollow husk dead, it makes sense that sun worship wouldn’t be too popular now. So, following the ole lore train from Dark Souls, this covenant descriptions works in perfectly to the fact that a chunk of the gods are gone now due to the Chosen Undead.

If you are “squeeing” in your seat after hearing that name, you’ve probably already realized that this is Dark Souls II’s version of Warriors of Sunlight from Dark Souls.
